Bee happy .... make a wire crown

After making my notice board with chicken wire I had some cut offs left over.

Being me I couldn't let it go to waste so decided to make a crown.

This is my chicken wire crown.

I cannot wear it as it has some sharp bits but it reminds me that I am queen of our house anyway :)

To make it fancier I used some jewellery wire and wired on some small beads and sparkly heart buttons.

I think I may stand a pillar candle inside it on the hearth.

The little dog wasn't sure where to stand during the photo shoot as I had disturbed her sun bathing in the bright morning sunshine. She just had to take a look :)

Bee happy ..... make a notice board

I have been busy making a notice board this weekend.

I had a wooden frame left from the kitchen fitters when they put our kitchen together.

I sprayed it with white paint.

I then with the help of Mr Happy cut some chicken wire to size and stapled this to the back of the frame. As the wire was from a roll 4 hands were great as the roll kept curling back up until cut to size.

Because the cut ends were really sharp I then used my glue gun and stuck down some thick felt over these to cover them up.

My new notice board is ready.

I can use it both ways and if I want to hang it on the wall I will just use some ribbon tied around the frame.

Hope you like my new notice board.

All of the hearts are available to buy in my shop.

Also, don't forget to enter my Valentines giveaway if you haven't already done so, the link to the giveaway post is in my sidebar.

Bee happy ..... add some pretty paper

I just love my brown leather Filofax that I got for Christmas.

After looking at Monica's wonderful blog The White Bench I felt my diary needed
a little something extra. Monica has made a beautiful job it really warrants taking a look.

I didn't want to cover the leather so I changed the inside.

I decided to take out my divider pages and stick pretty papers to each one.

I used my Tilda paper stack.

I am so pleased with the results, no more boring plain pages.

Thanks for the inspiration Monica :)

Bee happy ..... get a new website

I have some great news!

I have been really busy since Christmas and now have a new website

Take a look and let me know what you think.

I have done everything myself and this is the first time I have done something like this.

I am using the domain name www.beehappyhome.co.uk

Come over and take a look.

I would love some feedback on my new website.

I am still in the process of adding some stock so keep checking back.

Also, if you have purchased through my ebay store in the past I would really appreciate it if you could email me a couple of lines about the service you received so I can add this to my testimonials page.

The lovely Jem over at Beautiful Clutter has kindly already done this for me.

Thank you so much for all of your help and support during 2012 as this gave me the inspiration and motivation to open my ebay shop and now my website. Thank you.

Bee happy ....make a pin cushion

I have just finished making myself a new pin cushion.

My old one had too many holes in it and wasn't big enough.

I collected all of my fabric scraps and some lace.

I decided to make a rectangle shape with patchwork style and put lace on each side.

I am really pleased with my new pin cushion, it is so much better being bigger, there is more space to stab at!

I decorated with buttons, bows, beads, a crochet flower and a crown brooch.

What have you been busy making?

Bee happy ........ get parcels

With all of this snowy weather about I am impressed with the delivery services.

My parcels have been delivered to me and the people are usually very friendly.

I have ordered a couple of things in the sales which have reached me in good time. I don't know if you are the same as me, but when I have ordered something online I want it there and then!

I have just ordered some Tilda fabric from Panduro Hobby and had delivery on some shadow boxes from Cox and Cox which are already up on the wall.

I have 2 of these shadow boxes on my office wall.
I can't wait for my Tilda fabric to be delivered, 4 different patterns and some ribbons, all in the sales.

I hope you are getting your parcels safely delivered in this cold, icy weather.

I have been busy making lots of hearts recently.

I also have a Valentine heart giveaway over on this post.

Head over here to enter.

I have made a bobbin heart and put it in my new box frame.

I have also made a heart garland from paper and the pages from an old book.

I have wanted to make one of these for a while and finally got around to it.

I used the sewing machine to stitch the 3 different sized hearts together.

Hope you are all keeping warm and cosy.
