Bee happy ..... see stars

I found myself with a little spare time which doesn't happen all that much these days so I made some star garlands for Christmas.

They are that pretty they may have to stay up longer than just for Christmas ;)

I used my vintage sheet music stash and cut out a large and small star and then a medium star in pink paper.

I put all 3 stars on top of each other then used the sewing machine to stitch all the way through them all, I kept adding the stars until the garlands were long enough.

At the end of the garland I left enough thread for hanging with.

What have you been making for Christmas?

  3. What happy, singing, lovely stars, Deb! I love them. I like that you added the sheet music...and speaking of which, I just came back from the local library sale, and purchased some old hymnal books, in which the pages will make great craft projects (if I can bear to cut up the books :)

Let's see, as you know, I've been busy making some wonderful Christmas wall pockets, or hangers...and today I just made a quick card for someone, which I will be posting soon.

You know, seeing your sweet 'cottage' in your yard, reminded me of one of the very first times I came to visit you...you had made a string of banners for the front of it, and I still remember that. I'm glad we've met, and have become friends across the miles.

    Blessings dear friend,
