Bee happy .... make a wire crown

After making my notice board with chicken wire I had some cut offs left over.

 

Being me I couldn't let it go to waste so decided to make a crown.

 

 

This is my chicken wire crown.

 

I cannot wear it as it has some sharp bits but it reminds me that I am queen of our house anyway :)

 

To make it fancier I used some jewellery wire and wired on some small beads and sparkly heart buttons.

 

I think I may stand a pillar candle inside it on the hearth.

 

The little dog wasn't sure where to stand during the photo shoot as I had disturbed her sun bathing in the bright morning sunshine. She just had to take a look :)

Bee happy ...... screen printing all sewn up

Remember my screen printing practice?

 

 

Well It's all sewn up now!

 

I made the small pieces into hearts and decorated with fancy buttons and beads.

 

I also filled them with lavender.

Bee happy ..... update magnets

Had these magnets from Ikea hanging around in my drawers, getting in the way for ages, they weren't pretty enough to go on my new fridge!

I decided to do something about it at last!

I played about with different things for the tops.

I made some flowers with cream calico fabric which are old curtains and then stitched a bead, buttons or group of beads in the centre.

I had these cute little crochet flowers and put spotty buttons in the centre.

When I had finally made my decisions I used my glue gun to attach the flowers securely to the top.

My finshed magnets on the fridge.

Bee happy ...... be a princess

Popped along to my local TX Maxx store the other day and bagged myself a crown! It was only £10.

I have been on the lookout for something like this for ages.  I just need to put a plant in now.

I also got a box of beads for my creations for a fiver!
