Bee happy .... red and white spot shelves now in use

My red and white spot shelves now have a purpose.

 

 

They are in the guest bedroom displaying pretty wares.

 

I also want to share with you my newly covered lamp shade.

 

It is a Laura Ashley base and shade but I got fed up of the pink shade so decided to re-cover it with fabric to match the guest bedroom.

 

I chose Cath Kidston red and white star fabric for the re-covering job.

 

I got out my trusty glue gun and just glued the star fabric over the shade after cutting the fabric to size.

 

I am really pleased with the transformation and the lamp looks so much better for a change.

 

Have you changed anything lately?

Bee happy .... paint furniture

I have now painted the walls, ceiling and wood work in my office and will paint the floorboards tomorrow when the wood work is dry.

In between the painting I have been renovating my brown pine desk.

It has had 2 coats of white paint now and is waiting for new handles.

Remember my pink craft table with the pink spot oilcloth top?

This has now also been painted white and will have a new oilcloth top when it's dry.

I finally found my stash of handles in the garage and am pleased with what I found.

I bought 2 sets of handles from Laura Ashley the other night, 2 hearts and 2 flowers to make up for the gaps as I need 9 handles.

I don't know what Sweep the brooch was doing in my handle stash but glad to finally have him back!! lol

This is my Laura Ashley desk lamp which I am working on updating, you will have to wait to see the results ...........
