Bee happy ..... cupcakes and a giveaway winner

I was given this gorgeous looking cupcake by my sister in law on her birthday recently.

It was so pretty!

I couldn't eat it straight away, had to look at it for a while!

Pretty decorations on top including flowers and buttons.

When I did eat it, how wonderful!

I have a winner for my giveaway over on my other blog.

Head over here to see the winner.

Have a wonderful week everyone, despite the fog and rain.

Bee happy ..... use lavender

I had a little spare time so I made some little lavender decorations.

I used my stamps and printed on some fabric that matched my living room curtains.

I then stitched around the edges, tucking a ribbon loop in at the top, filled with lavender and then finished stitching up.

I used a different fabric for the backs, spots and gingham which were scraps I had in my scrap bag.

I cut a few branches from the garden and then hung my sachets on these.

I think they look great in the living room.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't already done so over here.

It ends on Saturday 20th October.

There is now also a fabric book mark included in the giveaway with a signed copy of my book
Diary of a house move.

Bee happy .... berries in the garden

After a couple of dry days I ventured out into the garden and noticed lots of different berries around.

Unfortunately these are the only blackberries, not enough for a pie or crumble.

I think I will let the birds have them.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway to win a signed copy of my book
Diary of a house move.

I wonder what is growing in your garden that you haven't noticed before.

Bee happy .... look what postie brought me!

I received the first paperback copy of my book in the post today to proof read.

This has cheered me up :)

I am feeling a little better from my cold but not 100% yet but I really appreciated all your kind words this week, thank you.

I am so pleased with it, just love the colours of the front and back cover.

I want to make a couple of changes to the text inside the book to make it perfect, so it will take a little longer before it is available to buy.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend :)

Bee happy ...... write a book

A little while ago I wrote a book about moving house and the renovations which were needed.

The book is soon going to be available on Amazon.

I wanted to thank the lovely Tam and her husband Carl from

who kindly turned the ideas in my head to the stunning front and back cover you can see below, they are so kind, creative and talented.

Front cover

Back cover without blurb

This diary is a humorous account of one couples experience in buying and selling a house in a credit crunch. Sharing their adventure is their half blind cat and disabled dog. Nicknaming the different houses and people linked to the properties help them to remember which houses they have viewed. They manage to eventually buy a house and renovate it with the help of various tradesmen before they move in. This hilarious diary will keep you entertained from start to finish.
My book has been on line for several months and below are some of the comments I have received from my readers.

"This book is full of those moments and observations that make you shake your head, or laugh out loud. For anyone who has dabbled in buying or selling a home, this is a must read"
"As a former property lawyer, I don't need to read beyond the pitch to know this will be hilarious!"
"This is an accurate detailed and very funny look at moving house – but oh so true!"
"This is a fun book to read!"
"I loved the story of throwing the ball to Nephew. Your book was a delightful read and I thank you for writing it"
“This is a great read, and deals with a topic that touches us all- moving! The way you engage the reader with humour is wonderful! It really made me laugh!!”
“Before starting to read thought what a strange thing to write about, finished book one o-clock in the morning reading all chapters of this amazing story of a terrible year of stress selling and buying houses. Brought back some not so good memories of my own. This book is so well done, I had many laughs through the search for the right home.”
