Bee happy ...... finish painting a room and start another!!

Remember Mr Happy's office when it looked like this just last week?

Well now it's all painted and finished :) at last!

The floor boards turned out really well and I am extra pleased as this is what I am doing in my office :)

I put all the furniture and bits back yesterday afternoon so now Mr Happy is really happy because he is now back in his office and not on the landing ;)

Do you like the little dog cushion I made on the chair?

We just have to put the pictures back on the walls.

After I finished Mr Happy's office yesterday I started stripping my office of all the furniture and bits and bobs as this is my next painting project this week.

You don't realise how much stuff you have until you have to move it!! lol

Now it's empty I can prepare the walls, sanding and cleaning them ready for painting, which is my job today.

Couldn't resist showing you my lovely heart bucket which I have had for years, a purchase from Cox and Cox I think.

I wonder which colour I will pick for my office walls,

purple

grey

pink

blue

or white?

Bee happy ..... paint!

I have been a busy bee this week, preparing and painting the walls of Mr Happy's office, which is bedroom four. 

His desk is wedged in on the landing upstairs which we have to squeeze past every time we need the loo and to go to bed!! Got to finish this room soon! lol

These are before pictures and a lot of paint and hard work has gone in since these were taken at the beginning of the week. 

If you are wondering what the bits and pieces are in the corner, well these are Mr Happy's work phone and router to we can get on line, they had to stay, but managing to paint around them :)

I am painting the wood work today.

I am painting the lovely floor boards tomorrow with white floor paint, I know some of you have wondered about painted floor boards, well you'll soon know the result!!

I was looking after my neighbour's cat last week while they were on their holidays and I got a pressie yesterday from them :)

Wicker napkin holder with some CK napkins in.

A bar of thank you chocolate.

and 2 pieces of nougat, had already eaten one before taking the photos :)

I have finished this gorgeous navy fleece throw this weekend as well which I will put in either my Etsy or Folksy shop

I will be sanding, cleaning and painting bedroom 4 this week which is Mr Happy's office so I will catch up with everyone when I need a sit down.

Bee happy ..... cheer up a basket

Such a sad little basket on my bathroom windowsill  :(

I decided to cheer it up and make it a pretty cover for the inside.

I measured and cut out the panels then stitched each section to the base of the cover.

Once all of the sides were stitched together I hemmed the top and sat it in the basket, folding down the sides so you can see the pretty fabric.

How much happier is the basket now? :)

I had another sad basket as well in the bathroom so I made another cover for this one.

I have ordered a carpet for this bathroom which is being fitted on Friday this week so I am making a few changes now.

We have plain grey blinds at the moment with the blue spotty things and now the blue flower fabric scattered around the room.

I have ordered this blue spot blackout blind from Dunelm Mills last night for this bathroom so my new basket liners, the wash bag and cupboard top will all look great together.

I had my charity swap parcel yesterday from Helen at Moonstruck Creations.  Such a lovely package, flowery peg bag, bracelet, heart, 2 ickle bees and some gorgeous chocs :)

Bee happy ...... there's something fishy going on!

Just wanted to share a tip with you.  My summer house doors used to blow in the wind when I left them open, not no more as I had a genius idea of filling some cute buckets with sand and using them as door stops.

They work a treat and no more trapped doggy noses!

I made this at uni and it has been boxed up ever since.  I decide to put it in pride of place in my summer house so I can look at it.

The fish swim around in the waves with a greedy shark following close behind and while the fish are swimming the seagulls are also circling above in the sky.

The seahorse on the back is the handle which makes all of the cogs turn in side making the action happen up front!

Cute sign I found on holiday in Devon, had to have it :)

Made some more fish, I've put these in my Etsy shop or otherwise hubby says I'd have enough fish in my summer house to run and fish and chip shop ;)

Bee happy .... move furniture

Remember this old dark wood garden furniture you will have seen on my garden pictures?

I have decided to have a move around so the garden looks better now the fence has been painted.

Moved this set to the front of the house where we have coffees, sit with neighbours and watch the world go by.

This silver set has been in the shed ever since we moved in so it was time for an outing as I was missing it!

The table and 2 chairs were a bargain from Asda about 8 years ago after a Valentines Day sale, got the table and 2 chairs for £20 and then bought 2 more chairs for £10 each from somewhere else, a cheap set in all :)

A quick post today as I am in a race against the electricity going off for the day 9am while 6pm, lucky me, the men in their yellow safety gear are gathering just down the road.  They have just entered the field behind I am informed by hubby so got to dash!

Bee happy .... get off to Ikea!

I don't know if you lovely ladies know but in this months copy of House Beautiful there is a voucher for a free double quilt cover from Ikea worth £11.99.

Popped down to Ikea last night as the voucher is valid from 1st August to get my free stuff!

The pattern is quite pretty and there are 4 pillowcases as well.

I also got a few artificial flowers :)

Also got this gorgeous candle, couldn't resist it, the glass holder can be used again.

My new quilt cover on the bed :)

If you haven't already got a copy of House Beautiful it is definitely worth purchasing :)
