Bee happy ... take a sneaky peak!

My office is now finished and put back together, as you can see I went for the pink out of the colour swatches :)

Remember months ago when I posted about my wall stickers from Cox and Cox, they were originally for the hallway but I decided to use one in my office.

It took time peeling off the stickers and then deciding where to put them.

Needed a coffee and several twix sweets!

My desk is back in my office now with different handles and a different colour.

Just need to take the finished pictures now so look out for them!

I have painted the living room and am in the process of painting the wooden floorboards now, just waiting for the last coat of paint to dry.

Bee happy .... change a lamp

Remember this lamp?

I've made changes to it now.

Firstly, I tilted the lamp on the fruit bowl so I could turn the shade around when gluing on the pom pom trim.

I started the trim on the shade seam and finished there to make it look tidier.

I made some flowers and leaves with net and voile.

I glued these flowers on to the shade and added a bow and lots of buttons using my wonderful glue gun.

On every circle on the shade I glued a button on.

I love the finished look, shabby and vintage.

And finally, just for Mrs Exeter a close up of the Westie dog cushion I made.

Buttons for eyes and nose :)

I actually used an old cushion cover and cut it into the shape of a dog, stitched up the sides and then filled it.

Just putting my office back together now, filling shelves etc, stay tuned for finished pics :)

Bee happy .... paint furniture

I have now painted the walls, ceiling and wood work in my office and will paint the floorboards tomorrow when the wood work is dry.

In between the painting I have been renovating my brown pine desk.

It has had 2 coats of white paint now and is waiting for new handles.

Remember my pink craft table with the pink spot oilcloth top?

This has now also been painted white and will have a new oilcloth top when it's dry.

I finally found my stash of handles in the garage and am pleased with what I found.

I bought 2 sets of handles from Laura Ashley the other night, 2 hearts and 2 flowers to make up for the gaps as I need 9 handles.

I don't know what Sweep the brooch was doing in my handle stash but glad to finally have him back!! lol

This is my Laura Ashley desk lamp which I am working on updating, you will have to wait to see the results ...........

Bee happy ....... roll up, roll up!

The blue spotty blinds I had on order for the en suite came last week from Dunelm because the smaller one was out of stock.

We put up these plain grey blinds when we moved in as they matched the bathroom with light grey tiles, but after having the new grey carpet down I decided to add a little more colour with these sweet blue blinds.

The most nerve wracking bit of putting up blinds is cutting off excess material.

Mr Happy always leaves this bit up to me as I have a steadier hand!! and a sharp pair of scissors :)

Small window with new blind up.

Big window with new blind up.

As you can see the new carpet matches the dark grey and light grey tiles.

The blue gives the bathroom a bit of colour and fun :)

Always found roller blinds from Dunelm to work really well and never had a problem with them.

I have painted the ceiling twice in my office today and decided to paint my dark brown pine desk white while it was in the garage :)  Just need to look in the garage at my handle stash to see if some are appropriate for the drawers as it is having a make over :)

Bee happy ...... finish painting a room and start another!!

Remember Mr Happy's office when it looked like this just last week?

Well now it's all painted and finished :) at last!

The floor boards turned out really well and I am extra pleased as this is what I am doing in my office :)

I put all the furniture and bits back yesterday afternoon so now Mr Happy is really happy because he is now back in his office and not on the landing ;)

Do you like the little dog cushion I made on the chair?

We just have to put the pictures back on the walls.

After I finished Mr Happy's office yesterday I started stripping my office of all the furniture and bits and bobs as this is my next painting project this week.

You don't realise how much stuff you have until you have to move it!! lol

Now it's empty I can prepare the walls, sanding and cleaning them ready for painting, which is my job today.

Couldn't resist showing you my lovely heart bucket which I have had for years, a purchase from Cox and Cox I think.

I wonder which colour I will pick for my office walls,

purple

grey

pink

blue

or white?

Hope to show you the bathroom blind photos soon as they are now up and looking great :)

Bee happy ..... paint!

I have been a busy bee this week, preparing and painting the walls of Mr Happy's office, which is bedroom four.

His desk is wedged in on the landing upstairs which we have to squeeze past every time we need the loo and to go to bed!! Got to finish this room soon! lol

These are before pictures and a lot of paint and hard work has gone in since these were taken at the beginning of the week.

If you are wondering what the bits and pieces are in the corner, well these are Mr Happy's work phone and router to we can get on line, they had to stay, but managing to paint around them :)

I am painting the wood work today.

I am painting the lovely floor boards tomorrow with white floor paint, I know some of you have wondered about painted floor boards, well you'll soon know the result!!

Hope you are all having a great week.
