Bee happy .... remember this?

Do you remember when I put my CK wallpaper scraps from the kitchen into frames in the living room?

Well, yesterday I changed it around.

I finally painted the large frame and tried to paint the small ones but the glass had been glued in which made it difficult.  So instead these went into storage in the garage for now and I moved some other frames around to make this display.

I did some free hand embroidery on the sewing machine yesterday to make the flower and bee picture for the large frame.

Then for these frames which were empty and did more free hand embroidery with sayings.

I used a couple of my Tilda embroidery flowers but only sellotaped them down so I can used them again.

These two butterfly pictures came from a shop in Woolacombe, North Devon last year, they were much cheaper than the Laura Ashley ones :)

Bee happy .... leave the house

I had some more Tilda things delivered today.

Wrapping paper, cute birds, ribbon, flower motifs, paper and labels.

A few more lovely stickers.

Left the house for the first time in 3 weeks to do the supermarket shop.  I have been ordering on line for a home delivery which has come in very handy but today I decided I would try my hand at leaving the house for a Tesco shop.  I picked up a few packs of these sweet napkins for over the summer.  Do they remind you of anyone in particular? At £1.50 ish a pack I thought they were a great bargain :)

I picked these flowers from the garden over the weekend for my hallway, I just love the yellow roses.

Hope you have a great week in the sunshine.

Bee happy .... get more post

Got another delivery yesterday to help keep me cheery :)

I ordered some bits from an Etsy shop in China but couldn't load all of the pictures, only this one.

These Alice postcards are so cute, think I am going to use them as tags on things I sell or for buttons.

I also ordered some zips with a fancy edge and some card with prints on for wrapping ribbon and lace around to keep them tidier.

I am feeling much better now I have been increasing the tablets.  Thank you to everyone for your kind words and cyber hugs, much appreciated.  While I have been house bound I have really enjoyed reading your blogs, they have kept me busy :)

Have a great weekend everyone, hope the weather stays sunny.

Bee happy .... make creative storage

Was rummaging through the recycling box the other day after a good idea!

Picked out all my tin cans that had a ring pull top so the edges weren't too sharp and dangerous.

I sprayed some tins purple to put plants in for outside in the garden.  I drilled a hole in the bottom of each tin for drainage.

I have painted 2 pink and 2 blue which I then decorated with my CK wallpaper leftovers from the kitchen walls. I used Mod Podge (for the first time) to stick the wallpaper down then used it to finish the surface.

These lovely tins are now spread across my desk and sewing table holding pens, felt tips
and scissors :)

Bee happy .... let the purchases roll in! and make with Tilda

My Internet shopping is beginning to turn up at last! how slow things take when you are waiting for them!  So far this week I've had by Everything Alice book and now my scrabble tiles.

I found these wooden scrabble squares on Etsy and had to have them :)

Tilda has been keeping me company while I am house bound.

I love her books and the instructions are so easy inside.

I had a go at making a scalloped edge pocket to hold things in.

I used CK fabric but instead of using a hole punched in the back to hang up my bag I used East of India ribbon and a couple of cute buttons.

I've also kept myself busy this week adding a few bits to my Etsy and Folksy shops.

Had to show you this photo.  The bees love the lavender on our newly washed patio and snapped this bee mid air, how cool is that!

Bee happy ...... share a book

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all my lovely blogging friends for your sweet, kind and positive words, they are really appreciated.

I have now started taking meds again and am feeling a little better now.

I wanted to share this wonderful book with you.

I ordered it ages ago and it finally came yesterday.  It is full of wonderful craft ideas as well as lovely recipes, I just had to show it you :)

I love how the pages are laid out and have been photographed.

I thought of Susan at Miss Tea when I came across this, tea set invitiations to a tea party.

Susan, we will all be expecting an invite soon ;)

I adore these aprons, so cute!

Sorry about the layout of the photos, don't know why they came out like this!

Bee happy .... be thankful

I have Crohn's Disease, had it for years. I was at the hospital for most of Tuesday afternoon having x-rays and what nots to find out why I am in so much pain.

The hospital have tinkered with my medication which means I have been house bound since Tuesday night this week :(

I was feeling really fed up and ill but decided to look at the positive and I did find quite a few things :)

Peonies I picked at the weekend for the kitchen are still looking great :)

Our lovely neighbour Sam was bored over the weekend and wanted to play with her mum's jet washing thingy and had run out of things to clean at their house.

So Sam came round with her cleaning equipment to clean the back paved area for us.

Can't believe how dirty it was!

The house was built in the 70's and this had not been cleaned since then.

Sam did a great job, as you can see it looks so much cleaner.

The orange blossom is blooming and looking great and smells lovely :)

I was looking out of my craft room window yesterday afternoon and saw a group of sparrows playing on my summer house roof :)

There were more of them but they kept flying around into the bushes and trees next door.

My lovely neighbour at the other side bought me this ribbon last week, how kind is that? :)

On a more negative note (for Mr Happy) the credit card is being abused by me as I am partaking in a little internet shopping to keep me amused ;)
