Bee happy .... get some peas

This may seem a strange post but stay with me!

On my weekly shopping trip to Tesco I came across these peas, I wanted mushy peas, and I wanted these! they are only 4p a tin!

That's right 4p a tin.......

I was going to stock up while I was there but there were only 3 tins left on the shelf.

Couldn't believe it, they will go great with my fish and chips :)

I usually buy home brand baked beans as I think they taste just the same as branded so I think I will be OK with these.

Hope your week is going great.

Bee happy .... get digging

Mr Happy has been digging in the garden and he brought back in with him some of our home grown potatoes.

They were given to us earlier in the year from our lovely cousin when we were visiting them.

They have been tested and they are gorgeous :)

I also had a lovely surprise the other evening. We had popped out for half an hour and when we returned someone had left a big bunch of hydrangeas on the doorstep.

They were from a friend who had left them for me.

I had looked after her little dog Alfie while they were out and in return she gave me these.

I love these flowers, they are my favourite along with roses.

Bee happy .... new sheet day

Today was new sheet day for me.

Helpers are always needed.

Do you have a helper who likes to sit on the wash pile?

I bought this fitted sheet from Primark today for £6.00.

Such a bargain and it goes with my other bedding.

I love my ruffle bedlinen.

And to finish off new sheet day, a spritz of lavender :)

Hope everyone has a happy weekend.

Bee happy .... travel a little

Mr Happy and I have just had 2 weeks off.

We went to North Devon and the Lake District.
In particular, Clovelly, Hartland, Woolacombe, Windermere and Grasmere.

Heart pebbles from Hartland Quay.

View from grounds in Hartland Abbey.

My trusty CK bag inside the summerhouse at Hartland Abbey.

My CK bag came with me again to Grasmere.

While off I popped into a local shabby chic/charity shop where I found this little lovely at £8.00, cover and cushion pad from Laura Ashley.

You can see why I was so happy as it was Laura Ashley and it also matched the curtains I already had up in my craft room.

I think it was meant to be!!

I now need to catch up on your lovely blogs.

Hope you all have a wonderful happy week :)

Bee happy .... a visit to Clovelly in North Devon

Mr Happy and I have just spent a couple of days in North Devon.

We visited Clovelly for the first time and even though it was raining we had a great day there.

We found Ann Jarvis Designs/Clovelly Silk in the Lower Yard.

Ann Jarvis Designs/Clovelly Silk is run by Ann and her husband Bill with their daughter Ellie.

Inside was full of wonderful fabrics and scarves which had been screen printed.

This is where Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer had a go at screen printing for their TV programme 'Kirstie & Phil's Perfect Christmas'

Ann and Bill

Ann and Bill were so lovely and friendly and Bill showed me the huge printing table and screen print frame that they use which you can see in the picture behind them.

Courses for screen printing are run here and are very popular but it is a shame that we were only here for one day otherwise I would have booked myself in :)

I made a couple of purchases which Bill kindly wrapped carefully for me to keep them safe on the journey home.

My own screen printing set.

Ann and Bill also gave me a few samples of their printing.

This design is Clovelly itself and can be seen on their website in more detail.

Stay tuned for more photos of our North Devon adventure and some screen printing.
