I was painting the utility door and the bathroom ceiling yesterday so inbetween I decided to paint my mirror frame which is in the hallway. It was a bronze colour before and didn't match so I painted it grey.
I decided to make a heart garland using my scrapbooking paper and pink twine :)
In between some hearts I tied a little bow to add more interest.
I then decided it was time to change my little washing line so I added birds with the same paper.
I also dragged my old sewing machine in from the garage and gave it pride of place on the fireplace.
I've never actually used this machine for sewing, I prefer my electric one.
My dad got it for me years ago when a friend of his was getting rid of it.
I added a new ribbon to hold the key on the case.
Hope you all have a great sunny weekend, don't craft too hard!
Bee happy x
Have a delicious day!
I'd love an old singer, again, not to use - but they look so good. xx
ReplyDeleteThe singer looks great in the fireplace. The garlands are so cute :o) Have a fabulous weekend :o) Scarlett x
ReplyDeleteYour paper cut-outs look so sweet. I love your home- it looks so calming!( not like the mad chaos here lol)
ReplyDeleteI have one of those beautiful machines, but sadly mine is stuffed in a cupboard under the stairs- wish I had somewhere to display it
Deb I'm completely envious of your Singer - my Mum has one that belonged to my great grandmother and I absolutely love using it - I'm hoping it will be passed to be one day as I'll definitely cherish it.
ReplyDeleteThe scrapbook birdies are looking fabulous on your washing line! Which shade of grey did you use for your mirror? I also love the little venetian style mirror it is reflecting, gorgeous!
Jem xXx

Hello again, thanks for your comment. I thought i had sent you an email about the labels? did you not get it? I was soooo excited to have won, let me know and i will send again. xx
ReplyDeleteI actually prefer an old manual sewing machine- gonna get one once we move into a decent sized place! But maybe that's because we had horrible electric ones at school and the teacher was not the nicest of women.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the garland idea, such an instant way to theme up a mirror or frame.
The mirror looks lovely that colour & i love the pretty garlands you have made, I think I need to dig out my scrapbooking box. The sewing machine is wonderful mine is a basic modern one but dont think you can beat a singer
ReplyDeleteHi - thanks for your lovely comment on my blog! Well done on winning Kandipandi's giveaway as well - I was lucky enough to be paired with her for a button swap!
