I have more pictures to share with on my stairs and hallway.
First off, the front door bell had this ugly gold/cream cover so I decided to change it.
The landing floor has been painted.
The stairs have been sanded and cleaned.
You can see the door bell cover has been sprayed with paint to match in better to the decoration and it now doesn't look so old and messy.
I have painted the white again on the stairs and my little helper is again offering her services in marking up with masking tape.
The stairs are all masked up and ready for the central bare wood section to be painted.
The grey has now been painted in the middle.
Time to pull the masking tape off.
Oh no! the masking tape has also pulled off some the white paint, I hate masking tape!!
I have now touched up any bits that need it and the stairs are ready for a big reveal :)
Bee happy x
Have a delicious day!
The stairs look great! I love how you have gone with two colours, the white with the grey in the centre.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little helper you have as well!
The doorbell cover looks better in the matching grey :)
Just found your blog. The staircaise looks lovely after you've painted. Nice to have the two colours.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day and thank ypu for sharing.
The grey look great on the stairs.

The stairs look great. Love the doorbell cover too.
ReplyDeleteNot as much as your gorgeous hallway! beautiful job!!
ReplyDeleteohh that is COOL! the stairs look great, I love it. I was never a big fan of people putting those kind of carpets on the stairs because it's a bit too traditional for me, but this is a great/ more contemporary alternative
ReplyDeleteLove the painted stairs, looks amazing! x
ReplyDeleteThey look great. My mum recently covered up her painted stairs with carpet, which I thought was a shame as she had made such a good job of them - she will be 73 next week!
ReplyDeleteThe stairs look great - I love that effect. And painting the ugly door bell thing was a great idea - so much better than buying a new one. Another great job!
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteThe stairs looks really nice! :) Your doing a great job with your home, lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh your stairs are lovely I would like to do that with ours but hubby likes a carpet, cannot have my own way all the time, shame eh!Love Jill xx
ReplyDeleteI really love what you did with the stairs! They look so crisp and clean with the new paint. But, what I really like is that sign you have hanging...be nice or go home...I am still laughing...I need this one hanging in my house...you made my day! Hugs Loretta
ReplyDeleteSoooo love this my friend...pure joy! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteYour idea for the stairs is great. Nice job! Masking tape does have a nasty habit of pulling the paint off. There is another called painter's tape. I've seen it in blue, and it's specifically designed for paint jobs. It's less likely to peel off the paint.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day,
Marianne
Love the colors and LOVE the sign! Everything looks so clean.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can take a break soon.
Love, Linda
Only trouble is the stairs look so lovely will you be able to walk on them? ha ha
ReplyDeleteI LOVE white painted wood, specially white floorboards, so I have floor envy now.... it looks great! Maureen
ReplyDeleteThe white looks lovely! So crisp and clean and bright! I've just repainted my bathroom floorboards white and I'm so happy every time I look at it! By the way, I agree about my daughter's posters! The rest of her room is lovely though, I love going in there and find it hard to leave!
