Bee happy ..... give a basket a good home

Out and about a little while ago we spotted a wire shopping basket dumped at the side of the road.

I decided I wanted it and gave it a good home.

It has been sat in the garage for a while but inspiration struck yesterday!

I got out my white spray paint and sprayed the basket to make it cleaner and prettier.

I then got out my trusty glue gun as I wanted to wrap the handles with pretty ribbon.

I used the glue to secure the ribbon so it didn't unravel when it was being carried.

All finished and with only one hurty on my thumb where the hot glue burnt me :(

Lots of uses for my lovely new basket.

  2. What a pretty little makeover. To think a discarded supermarket basket could look this cute. Next time I find one lying around on my travels I'll know what to do with it.

  19. What a great idea. I always burn my fingers with my glue gun - that's usually because I'm so engrossed with what I'm doing that I forget where my fingers are! I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for neglected baskets xxxx
