Bee happy ....make a pin cushion

I have just finished making myself a new pin cushion.

My old one had too many holes in it and wasn't big enough.

I collected all of my fabric scraps and some lace.

I decided to make a rectangle shape with patchwork style and put lace on each side.

I am really pleased with my new pin cushion, it is so much better being bigger, there is more space to stab at!

I decorated with buttons, bows, beads, a crochet flower and a crown brooch.

What have you been busy making?

  1. It's very cute, Bee! :-] ... I've been making men's flower boutonnieres like a crazy lady lately! They've become very popular all of a sudden, and I'm just crocheting my fingers to the bone to keep them in my Wuglyees Etsy shop!! ^_^ Fun is....CROCHETING!! :-)

  2. I really like that Deborah. I had flu last week and my eyes still feel very strange so I am finding that although I am still off work I cant do any crafting.

  7. An adorable pin cushion, Deb! I love the cheery fabric, it makes one want to sew something. And I, too, like the rectangular shape - nice choices all around.

    Blessings for a fun day,

  8. It's so pretty and no doubt will make the sewing you do even more enjoyable! I've been looking for a nice pin cushion in the shops for ages because mine's old and tatty and now I have the answer! I must make one myself. :)
