Bee happy ..... have a project

I recently picked up some brown shelves but didn't like the colour, they were too dark.

I sprayed the shelves white but this left me with a wooden back.

I decided to use some red and white spot fabric to attach to the back panel.

I measured, cut to size and ironed my lovely fabric.

Then I covered the backing board with glue and stuck the fabric on to this.

I then screwed the new spotty back into the edge of the shelves on the reverse.

I am pleased with my new shelves, red and white, one of my favourite combinations.

Do you like?

I think they will be living in the spare bedroom as this is red and white.

Bee happy x

I haven't been creating this week....have been posting on my Etsy shoppe. I just needed a break from it for awhile, but I'm back into it now! I do mostly vintage and posting is my favorite part of the whole thing.
Enjoy your weekend you busy bee!

  12. What a great idea. I have some shelves without a back and would look good with fabric back with a theme for the room it will be in. Yours looks great...thanks for sharing and hop on over to my blog and check out my give away.
Have a great week and keep thinking Spring
