Bee happy ........ new mannequin

I treated myself to a mannequin recently.

I have wanted one for ages!

I found this one with white wooden legs which I loved so made a purchase :)

I added a little trim around the bottom and a ribbon tie.

I am also using it in the shop for displaying bags, scarves etc.

I love my new purchase, have you bought anything recently that you just adore?

Don't forget there is still time to enter my giveaway, photo in the sidebar.

  1. Great purchase! :-) ... I just bought some chicken cards yesterday, hand painted chickens...by a 'true' artist. I love them and can't wait for them to get here! :-) It doesn't take much to make us happy, does it?! ^_^

  2. Oh I have serious mannequin envy now! I have wanted one for ages, but couldn't justify it. So, I did what I do best and made one :) really love how you have embellished yours!

  3. It is just perfect for you my friend! I just bought some patchwork pillow cases with prairie point edges to use in my new studio! Looking at a sewing table next...think I found one in town so I won't have freight to pay! I am excited.

  4. It's lovely Deborah! I've always wanted one but at the moment would have nowhere to put it, so must just enjoy seeing other peoples - i do like the all white ones like yours best.

  5. Shes lovely Deb - a real 'lady' mannequin. I've got one that is def a less feminine woman! Her name is Lil and I like to think of her as a right fish wife! Has yours got a name?

  6. I just love your new purchase, and you prettied it up so nicely. I really like the trim and ribbon touch. And it displays your scarves and such perfectly.

I'm venturing out to catch up on some blogs. I've taken a bit of a hiatus at the moment.

    Blessings,

  7. I bought a mannequin some time ago - the type you can adjust for dressmaking so not a pretty as yours. She's called Daisy & sits in my craft room adorned with tops I (one day) intend to customise.....
